  1. Thought I would update, after purchasing a $250 new throttle and it doing the same thing, I finally realized what was happening. The third airline is a pressure relief line and something had clogged it up under the coach somewhere. I took a piece of wire and ran through the hose and eventually got it cleaned out and my throttle works like a champ!

Before you buy new have some one test capacitor as it can cause no run and slow run

or spend $5 dollar and replace then try

I would spend the $5....A closed system should not leak and if it does, replace it.

Unit runs just doesn't cool, As previously stated, i can hear the compressor kick in and cycle

  3. My front A/C only unit is not cooling, I can here the compressor kicking in but that is all. I assume it just needs freon but there are not any charge ports. Is the only option to replace or is it not feasible to repair these units? (Dometic Duo Therm Penguin) Another issue is the R22 is phasing out so it might be more costly to replace than a new unit as well has anyone else been thru this?

Rig is '92 model, I am not sure if this is an original unit on top or not. Rear was installed in 2005.

    TIA,

  4. Good Morning,

On my coach I just bought  it has a Williams Controls air throttle for a foot pedal. The  motor home sat up for most of the past year and the throttle hangs a little and takes a bit to idle back down. It was just a little fun on my drive home as you have to really plan your stops in advance. If I take the air hoses off and put a little air tool oil in the valve should that unstick or is there something else i need to look for?

I've never seen a air throttle, how do these work in regards to moving the throttle back on the engine. I was assuming there was a cable, but iwth it being air does it have a servo or something back on the fuel system?

    Thanks,

    Tony

Or how cold is it outside? When was the last time the propane tank filled? I use a propane generator also, and had the same issue to date three times in the last five years. Every time thus far it has been the result of an overfilled propane tank. If too cold side, propane can give the same results. Also check the radiator coolant level, this will shut down the unit, as well as low oil.

Temperature today was close to 70 deg, I just had the tank filled on the way home from picking up the Coach, Gage showed it to be 3/4 but now it is already showing 1/2

Could I have a possible leak and it is pulling air?

  6. Just bought my motorhome and it has a recently replaced 5/2015 Cummins / Onan 6500 generator that runs on Propane. The unit only has 152 hours since they replaced it. They also told me it has not been used since June of 2020

While the unit will crank, it will not stay running for more than a few minutes. Varies each time I get it to crank. I'm getting a generic code of 36 (Engine cutoff) most of the time and a couple of times I got a code of 15 (Frequency issue) which states to lighten the load and restart. I'm not running any load that I know of as all the appliances are turned off. No heaters running . Maybe refrigerator is on propane.

Any ideas what I might troubleshoot? Why it will not remain running?

    Thanks,

    Tony
