We went to TMobile and it dropped to 40-50 but I didn’t notice much drop in service. I could still stream Netflix and surf the web. With the new AT&T service I get 8-12 mbps and I can no longer stream Netflix - message says I don’t have high speed internet and my speed doesn’t support streaming. AT&T is taking advantage of FMCA members. You can buy a prepaid AT&T plan for 5 G, 100 GB a month for $50. Search the web and see. So all the emotion above is misdirected, fellow members aren’t the issue, a bad deal from AT&T is. And I’m putting my money where my mouth is and canceling my Tech Connect service. It’s pains me to do so because I believe FMCA has our best interest at heart. But AT&T is selling us an inferior service and I won’t be taken advantage of.
Well said. Nobody is trying to sell another plan. Our complaint is we are not getting what we were sold UNCAPPED data.

I think the point is that we are paying more now for slower speeds than promised on an outdated modem. If I spend $1k on a trip of the line modem I'll still only get 12 mb/s. Not sure what resolution you're streaming movies on but 12 mbs won't cut it for 4k or 3ven 1080p movies

Has anyone heard any news about how Calyx is handling the change to T-Mobile? I'm not quite ready to drop $750 and find out they're having troubles too.

Dear Mr. Smith,
I would like to make you aware of the issues being encountered with the new AT&T hotspot plan. I just completed an online ticket and attached it below. Basically, I do not believe AT&T is providing whatever was promised to FMCA. Also, in its present form, it is no where near a replacement for the excellent service we’ve received from T-Mobile, especially for $10 more. Moreover, AT&T sent us the cheapest Chinese “Moxee” hotspot that can be purchased at your local Best Buy or Amazon for less than $50! With this cheap hotspot the user can not even use 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz WiFi at the same time!
I hope to see a resolution to these issues, otherwise I and many members will be looking elsewhere for their hotspot internet needs.
Thank you for your time.

--AT&T is apparently not providing the service it has promised. The AT&T Moxee I received yesterday is being seriously throttled! I just drove to three know AT&T towers in my area and parked within 200 yards. Moxee shows five bars signal in each test. Using Speedtest.net the download jumps to about 30 ----Mbps down but immediately drops to 11 Mbps at all three towers! I have also done this test at my home at about 4 AM this morning again with five bars, and the download/upload is identical! Jumps to 30 Mbps and drops immediately to 11 Mbps. In each test the upload speed also jumps to about 20 Mbps down ----and immediately drops to 12 Mbps! I have screenshots of each test but see no place to attach here.
--With this obvious throttling, AT&T is basically worthless to me as a replacement for T-Mobile. Especially with me paying an addition $10 per month! I do hope to hear back soon with a resolution from AT&T.
--Thank you.
So, my question is.......is this due to the Moxie or, as you suggested, throttling?

I just read on MIA (RV Mobile Internet) that they believe the ATT plan is the same as the ATT Busness plan where max speed will be 12mbs. Can anyone here confirm this or tell us if they are getting better speeds on the Moxie?

I've been near Jacksonville, FL for over a week and my Sprint MiFi has been over 200 down and 30 up. No problems streaming or slow downs here. Over 80 used

Once they disable my MiFi I'm done with this plan. I'll go back to hotspoting from my Visible phone. The Alcatel is junk.

Does the Sprint plan let you stream greater than 480P?

Hey Doc. I thought you said you stay away from T-Mobile and Sprint??
ATT Billing

My question is one that I've been waiting a week to get an answer .......I just was billed my normal 49.95 last week. When I activate the ATT hotspot will I get billed immediately or will the 59.95 be billed on my usual date? Since Tech Connect is not answering, has anyone here heard anything on this subject?
