  1. Thanks for the info and pictures. I like how you did the cat strap
  2. This is always a concern for me with any vehicle. I found this video that tests many of the products out there and all said and done engraving your cat with vin # and welding rebar around it seems to be the best because bolt cutters can’t cut through it, a sawzal and rotary grinder would take a lot more time. I was gonna go with the cat strap or the cat clamp but now might buy some rebar and have friend weld something up. Click link below Testing cat clamp vs cat strap
  3. We just joined FMCA after RVing for the past 25years. We have gone from a pop-up to a hybrid, to hard-side, to 5th wheel toy hauler and just took delivery a few weeks ago on a 2023 Thor Outlaw 38MB Toy Hauler. We are plan to get on the road a lot more with the ease of having a motorhome. We live on an island and have struggled over the past 5 years to get our pickup truck off the island during the summer season so we decided to go with a motorhome. Yes, we keep the motorhome off the island so now its just packing a quick bag and walking onto the ferry vs. trying to get ferry reservations which usually need to be made months in advance for the summer. As an airport fireman driving the motorhome is about the same size as my firetruck so I feel pretty comfortable. We were 53 ft going down the road with our 5th wheel and shaved 13ft getting the motorhome so I'm pretty happy about that. My wife is a Emergency Room Doctor, Director for our islands Hospice and also own a MedSpa. We have significantly cut our ours to actually relax more and get on the road. We now expect to use the MH year round and chase 70 degree weather. We started a Facebook page, YouTube channel, Instagram and website so you can follow our adventures with our dog Senge (she loves to ride shotgun with me).
