Wayne great. I have High respect for all Military. As it never happened with me. It's one of my regrets. Funny story I say Semper Fi to my USMC friends a lot. No issues. One time I said Semper Fi to a random Marine and he got upset when I said it. After I divulged I was not a Marine. Now the funny part is when I spoke to my Marine friends about it. They both asked me was he a Pilot? Not sure the significance but he was... I thought it was funny they both said that. It's the reason I made sure with you. I did assume since you are a Master Sergeant you would be fine. Semper Fi.

So they do have the ability to be corrected so they dont fail based on the original design. EG get rid of the ceramic plungers and bad valves? Not the Detroit d60? Since you are an ADS which diesels over all do you prefer to work on? Do you have a good list vs a bad list you could share? I see you have a 2002 HR Imperial 40. I think currently I want a 2006 HR imperial pdq. If I can find one in say a yearish. Have you liked that coach? I can start a new topic as well if needed.

I have read all of this.. So "All" is every year the engine was created. Got it All bad..Yes?
-
Thanks I did search some of the other trucker links and forums. Most of the topics don't give engine year or model which is why I am asking. Some do and seem to be higher year than 2006. Like the one you listed shows the engine was redesigned in 2010 which is after 2006.

All: I first hope you all are well and Happy New Year. I wanted to point something out maybe you all might not know or consider. Also it could be related to certain insurance companies. I also dont own an RV "yet". So mostly speaking on Autos but assume it relates to RVs. I have been told before if you use the Insurance RA that is part of you Policy. It could/will go on you record as a Claim. This could raise your premium. This is the main reason I dont use Insurance RA. Have other heard of this and or experience this raise in premium after using RA related to your policy?

So the ISX is found in many HR or Monaco Coaches. I can't seem to find if they were "all bad" or certain years. I am looking around the 2006 model years. Seems to be the newer years but just not sure.

Oh lol. Yes sorry. Military time. More coffee...for me.

I was on FaceBook. I deleted my account about 2 years ago. Mostly because I dont like what its done to Society. It is actually one of the reasons I want to RV.. I want to get back to really "knowing people" like in the old days..😎 I am currently leaning towards HR and Monaco. Seems like they were way ahead of their time.

Thanks Knoxville is not too far to look.

Dad was a Shipfitter 3rd class (Cross Hammers). I think they call them Hull Techs now. I was raised to respect hard work and knowledge. Born to older parents. That taught me life was "my responsibility". You know dig a ditch, drive a nail, pull yourself up and all that. My dad was born in 1924, went through the great depression, fought in WW2, and beat Prostate Cancer by 7 full years.

Carl not sure what this is. Sir you never got the thanks you deserve. The treatment you all got coming home was so Poor.. I was not born then but I thank you all.

As Herman said its a phrase used as a Blessing as seen here https://www.history.navy.mil/content/history/nhhc/research/library/manuscripts/b/admiral-arleigh-burke-farewell-letter-to-the-us-navy.html "My service life has been rich and rewarding, and no man can ask for more. May you, too, find satisfaction and throughout your careers experience fair winds and following seas." https://www.history.navy.mil/content/history/nhhc/research/histories/ship-histories/danfs/e/estocin--ffg-15-.html "On the morning of 15 December 2000, Vice Adm. Michael G. Mullen, Commander, Second Fleet, called upon Estocin to wish the frigate “fair winds and following seas” as she embarked upon a five-month deployment to the southern Caribbean." https://www.navy.mil/submit/display.asp?story_id=110076 Here is good short history http://jayneormerod.blogspot.com/2012/04/beach-tale-origins-of-phrase-fair-winds.html Here are some of the other Slogans https://www.history.navy.mil/browse-by-topic/heritage/famous-navy-quotations.html

Oh true. I agree the older ones will be well made. This is great video as well.. to bad they are gone.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BqR4saIdTLQ I also noticed in videos like you said not a big difference from a 2006 to 2017.
-
Ok I follow you now.
-
But I live in Tennessee.. So should I be thinking of having to travel to look at RVs in general terms. I was assuming there were places all over the country..
-
Awesome.. My wife is a quilter so we are in Lancaster every now and then..
-
Meant in all sincerity as I am not a Marine. Hope your not offended by a non Marine saying... OORAH!!!
-
So consignment is better? For sure. So in a 2006 or before you would not buy a Monaco? Also Brett everyone has been great here. BTW..
-
Had not heard of this consignment of RV's. Thanks This video is funny to watch. Since you can look at his son and tell he didn't want to be there. it so obvious in his look and body language. Now the company is sold. I think I am with you. Pre 2006 is best.

I hope to. I have lots of work ahead. I have been watching Bus monkey videos 😁just for fun. I love to tinker. I would love nothing more to pull an old Cumins out an tear it down and rebuild it for sure. I had 77 camaro with headers and corvette 350 in it at 16... what fun..
-
Never doubted you.. Thanks. I had heard of them just wasn't sure if good or not. I assume Monaco is good too. Had not heard of Newell either. I noticed some of you all post https://www.pplmotorhomes.com a lot. Are they good? I have been using RV trader to just look around This is what I meant when I said brands might not matter to much. Tag Axel? Not sure what that is good for.. I assume weight distribution? Side is better design I read somewhere. The wife would love heated floor.😎 I can see I made the right choice like I said I learned more today than in the few weeks I have been just researching on my own. Rest easy..

We love Lancaster and Gettysburg.. Are you near York?
