  1. Hello everyone! We are getting ready to embark on a 7,000 mile trip starting in Orlando heading to Las Vegas then to Southlake Tahoe and on to redwood national and down to Monterey back to Vegas and then to Monument Canyon then off to Chattanooga and then back to Orlando. This is our first West Coast trip. We’ve traveled a lot and our 40’ class A Monaco Dynasty on the east coast but I hear some of those mountain ranges out west can be quite challenging if not outright scary. My question is, has anybody ever traveled from Southlake Tahoe to redwood national using 580 I’m on “Roadtrippers” website planning my trip and I see lots of jagged roadway and don’t know if it’s all mountain traveling. If someone could give me a heads up on what to expect, it doesn’t look like there’s too many fuel stops either. I carry 120 gallons of fuel. I get about 12 miles a gallon flat running. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Also, that run to Big Sur should be really beautiful but again, don’t know if there any real hazards running out of Sequoia through Santa Rosa… Thank you for input!
