If you are planning on seeing Santa Fe, you will want to camp there for several days. Santa Fe has so many attractions...history, museums, art, architecture, fabulous food, that just a day-trip from Albuquerque won't do! We stayed at an RV park just south of Santa Fe called Santa Fe Skies RV Resort. We had beautiful red/purple sunsets and views of the night-lights of Santa Fe. You can't walk into Santa Fe from there, so hopefully you'll have a toad. I'm told the RV parks in town are very tight and crowded, although I haven't seen them. Being from Denver, we've spent lots of time in Santa Fe; there are not a lot of trees except on the town square, but the desert landscape is quite lovely.
