We have a little wiggle to our Damon with the jacks down but would have to agree that there will always be a little of this when you consider the size and weight stabilized by just those four points. Our deciding factor is how well the coach reacts to high winds. If it isn't affected by wind while parked and level then we are satisfied. We are wintering on a high lakeside granite cliff that has experienced strong winds and there is no more movement than when we walk around the coach. Some wiggle is a given.

Herman; Since my post last year, we have also found that keeping an older map around works great to permanently mark routes taken for future reference. We have always been reluctant to mark up a new map as we will want to refer to it several times traveling this year. Now we keep a marked up prior year along side the fresh one. Call it a trip down memory lane when we review the older map!

I have had a similar problem with the topper on my bedroom slide. The slide was extended in the normal manner but when I began to bring the slide in, the topper did not retract. I put the slide back out and took a broom to push up on the topper several times before I felt the normal tension. When I brought the slide back in the topper retracted in the normal manner. I waited until I stopped for the day, brought out a ladder and inspected the topper. No obvious sign of anything binding the roller, no debris, and the problem has not re-occurred. From anyone else's experience should I be concerned or do you think this was one of those flukes that will probably never present itself again? The only thing I can compare it to is a window blind that doesn't retract when you first pull the shade from the bottom but after a couple pulls, the shade retracts as it should.

We have been buying books from an online seller and found today that it includes a section of travel books, guides and maps of the USA. The site advertises thousands of used and new books, mostly used at discounted prices. Most of the used books are less than $4.00 and include free shipping. The drawback is that some of the maps are dated a bit, such as the Michelin Road Atlas is 2009 but a great buy at $3.98. National Park guides would not be much of an issue if only a couple of years out, I would suppose. Anyhow, it is worth a look. I can attest to the shipping being prompt and they carry a 100% money back guarantee if not satisfied. Like any of us need to add the weight of more books to our coachs........................ www.betterworldbooks.com Dan and Pat F-412165

Trying to keep the dump valve area clean and dry in the coach compartment was always an unpleasant chore. Even though I used rags to wipe small drips and spills, I was left with an unsanitary damp rag to deal with. Throwing them away was not the economical answer nor was leaving them in the compartment. I found a simple and inexpensive answer to clean up. A plastic paper towel holder mounted horizontally or vertically in the dump compartment put paper towels handy, dry and available to clean up spills. The paper towels are easily discarded at the dump stations when done emptying the tanks. The paper towel holders are as little as a $1 at your favorite dollar store. More substantial holders are also available but still at only a few dollars for even the sturdiest. Toss in a small bottle of hand sanitizer and clean ups are a breeze and safe.
