  1. I did a quick search and didn’t find anything about this, so here goes. Peggy Palakiko F465615 who’s bio is on page 83 of Family RVing magazine and a recent new member of GWRRA FL-1M chapter. I only meet har in late March. She had left mid May on her New England and Canadian Maritime, Prince Edwards Island, November Scotia and New Brunswick Tour. Unfortunately, while on the Skyline Drive she was involved in a single vehicle motorcycle accident and did not survive. Last think I heard the cause of the accident was unknown. She left Florida very excited about being on the road again. She was doing what she enjoyed. a Facebook post May 22, 2018 It is with a very heavy heart that I put this post on Facebook. I was going to wait for the family but now see that people are already aware that something has happened so I thought I should let everyone know what happened. Peggy Sue died in a motorcycle accident yesterday on Skyline Dr. She was riding on a straightaway and for some reason swerved off the road and did not survive the crash. It is not known what caused her to swerve whether it was mechanical, medical or some type of a distraction such as an animal running out in front of her. I was riding in front of her and looked back and she was not there. I turned around and found her. The Park Rangers did everything they could but they couldn’t revive her. Peggy was a lovely, giving person with a beautiful soul as all of you know. As she always does everywhere she goes, she made umpteen friends on the train ride up. Always sharing her battles with cancer and other things and wanting to help others. That was just Peggy. She was a huge help to me through my mother’s cancer and I will always be grateful to her for that and so much else. Peggy and Mark and I meet through similar interests and shared a love of motorcycles. We have spent many Sundays out riding and looking for our next great place to eat. We called them our “mental health” rides as we always came back with a different view of the world. She will be dearly missed. I hope it was ok to post this. Once I saw people start to post things I thought I better say something and offer to answer any questions people might have as best I can because I was there. For her friends in Florida and anyone else that would be interested in having a Memorial for Peggy please let me know I would love to do that. I think these pictures were taken the day it happened. Life is short leave a mark you are proud of, Janet Sue Arndt~Pratt
