  1. Hello FMCA Members...has anyone out there stayed in a campground within 25 miles of the Bristol, PA area large enough for a 42' M/H. Good access, level sites and minimum 30 Amp service. We have found it a bit curious that the city of brotherly love doesn't seem to offer much...unless you stay in Lancaster, which has much to offer, but too far from the Bristol area. Thank you. Thanks for your responses. After careful and complete research a tech at Camper Country in Myrtle Beach found it was a pump relay for the HWH system. It was shipped overnight by HWH and replaced while we waited. Slides and jacks are working again. Thanks again. Stan Jones

Hope I am replying to you Brett. I'm new to the site. Thank you for your reply. I will pursue the advice on the batteries. As for the starting of the diesel engine in the wintertime I have heard from both camps. I think that the point that you made about oil temp is very valid. Driving 25 miles as a minimum. So as for your opinion - it is best not to start the engine all winter if it can't be driven - what if anything should be done to get through 5-6 months of sitting? Thanks. Stan

Can a bad set of house batteries (4) that are about 4 to 5 years old cause the slides to be very slow to the point where they stop and go? Also, last fall my batteries got real low on water. I must have put close to 2 gallons of distilled water in them. I leave the coach plugged in over the winter. I start the 400-horsepower Cummins engine every four weeks and run it for 1/2 an hour. Will new batteries take care of the problem? On one of my four slide controls I get no response at all. Not even a slight noise indicating it wants to move. Thanks.
  5. We own a 2007 Mandalay with two roof air units (15,000 and 13,500 rear). Since we took the coach almost two years ago it has not worked properly. Recently I had a dealer tell me that the front unit needed a repair kit and 2 new capacitors. They were installed and I was told the unit was pushing cold air to beat the band. Well I left the dealership after days of delays because we had to get on the road. Trusted that they did job right. Now on our way to Florida 3 days later we found out that the air was not coming on! We have two zones. The front zone has not come on at all since we turned it on 24 hours ago. Six hours after setting both zones at the same setting, the rear unit inexplicably came on at 10 p.m.! We hadn't touched anything. It stayed on all night and cooled fine. When we left the campground I shut off the electric at the pedestal in the campground. When we came into the new campground tonight I plugged in the electric and then turned on the breaker at the pedestal and I heard the rear roof air come on ... but not the front. Three hours later, still no go for the front. I noticed that the control has a telephone cord plugged into the back of the wall control that must communicate with the roof air units. And also noticed the plug was part of a green circuit board (presumably the mother board) that communicates too to the roof air? Has anyone experienced this? Or shed light on this. It's hot in FL and we will be there for the whole month of May into June. We'll need the air to be working!!! Thanks.
