We have been full-time RVers since 2007, no stick home, just our home on wheels with our two Toy Poodles, Raven & Cinnamon. When we met in 1980 we began making our retirement plans which centered on being full-time RVers and travel the US + Canada. We traveled all 50 states (49 in an RV) and all of Canada except Labrador & Newfundland before we retired. We will travel there to Newfundland & Labrador this summer (2012). Both of us are avid Ham Radio Operators and served as Coordinator's of the Nat'l Weather Services SKYWARN Program resonsible for spotters in SW Ohio & SE Indiana. However we both have been involved in the SKYWARN program for over 30 years. We still to this day participate with the NWS where ever we're living at the time. Paula has a background in broadcast radio, newspaper and magazine writing and a retired Realtor after 37 years of service. Nelson retired after 30 years as a civilian engineer with the US Air Force in Dayton OH. We're both very active in animal welfare with Paula founding a charity event for SICSA of Dayton OH in 2003. Nelson and Paula have coordinated the huge annual motorsports fund raiser ever since. As of 2011 the charity event has brought in nearly $25,000 for SICSA's Spay Neuter Programs. (www.SICSA.org) In 2010 Paula & Nelson were selected; do to their animal welfare work, as one of 4 couples nominated for "RVer of the Year" by the Good Sam Highway's Magazine. From time to time Paula writes articles for various RV magazines and web sites. We both love meeting people and have made many new friends through our travels all over North America.
