  1. Replacing all. Worried about the angle that I have to move. Like the new style... No longer make the one that I have. The heavy spring is broke and fabric is bad also. Photo below is not my MH but its the same awning that I will replace...Angle is under awning. I will have to remove to install other awning.
  2. ty that sounds like the way to go...do you know about the angle iron
  3. I have a 2000 Holiday Rambler Endeavor and I am replacing both awnings on slides. New awnings will be mounted with all new holes for mounting brackets. What is the best way to seal old mounting holes? Maybe new screws with rubber washers. I have two long angle iron strips about 3X1 inch and .025 thick running all the way across the slide side at the top that will have to be removed. Looks like I can remove without it being a problem. Does it have a real need. I thought that if it was for support for long slide it would not have been two, but just one long one.
  4. I bought 4 Michelin XZE 255/80R 22.5 -- $572 was price before discount. I paid $470 per tire. Saved $102 per tire. Mounting and balancing plus valve stems & taxes not included. Total was $2417.40....$30 Mounting @ dismounting...$35 balancing -- per tire plus valve stems & taxes. This alone is well worth the membership to FMCA plus all the help from these forums. Very thankful to all the members that post on these forums
  5. I need some advice about this circuit. This is my problem...I had the plug in the cabinet that is used for the microwave burn up. I replaced the plug. The microwave is OK, we still use it with extension cord. I have no power to the plug. The circuit for the plug is coming from the inverter. There are two circuits coming from the inverter. 1 circuit feeds most of the other plugs and I think the other 1 is for the microwave. I have power after the breakers on the inverter, both circuits. All other breakers on main panel are on and working OK. I have a junction box under the sink that feeds two circuits, one has power one does not. I cannot find another GFCI in the circuit on another junction box. Does anyone know how this motorhome is wired or what I am missing?
  6. Sorry it took so long for me to update this... I appreciate your help. I ended up taking it in to a Cummins dealer to have it pulled out. They had to take a torch to get it out. But did not weld it back, bolted it instead. The generator tried to start on its own. The starter engaged on its own and would not disengage. I had to disconnect the battery to disengage. It does not have a setup that I expected. The inverter in the genset failed. That also is what engages the starter. The technician that repaired it said that not all work that way, but this year (2000) that's the way it functions. Replaced the inverter & starter, (starter stayed engaged for awhile before I removed battery cable so it was best to replace it while it was out. Inverter alone was $1473.14, starter was $122.74. Total out the door was $2334.59 including tax & labor. Their estimate was $3386. They thought the wiring harness might be burnt up also, it was OK. Repair work was done by Atlantic Cummins - Cloverdale, VA Absolutely would recommend them. Fair and Honest.
  7. I appreciate your help. My plan was to do exactly that but it is a unit that is completely enclosed and I have very little clearance around the generator. I sure hope I don't have to remove it to do that.
  8. I do not know for sure what the problem is. I know I have correct voltage to the generator. The fuses are good. I get a clicking sound when I try to start it but the starter does not engage or something is frozen. I believe that I need to start at the solenoid and or starter. The space is so limited I was hoping there would be a easy way to get to them. The model is 7.5HDKAJ11451D. The gen does not slide out.
  9. How do I get to the solenoid and starter on a 7500 Onan generator in a 2000 HR Endeavor diesel pusher?
  10. What is the best way to check for leak in propane system if system is empty? Can you put air pressure on system without a problem if so how much pressure?
