  1. Chalk the tire and take for a short drive then you can tell if high or low pressure then adjust
  2. I live in Canada and we are cooler and the normal usage is Moab at Easter so mostly cool running and short camping trips in the summer Parked in the shade never parked more than a month with out being off the ground They still had no cracks but changed anyway
  3. I checked my tires every spring when I pull out the supports I replaced my continental HSR tires with date code 2011 and they still looked good and did not want to take a chance as I went across Canada 4500 KM one way in the heat of summer If I lived or used my rig down south I would have to replace a lot sooner
  4. May be a little noisier but ride is the casing not the tread unless you go mud or paddle tires
  5. It can be a lot of things One thing to eliminate is induction on plug wires space them away for each other and if they cross try to have at 90 degs worn advance in distributor failing pickup or module heat induced If you know some one with a big block test with a borrowed distributor good luck and let us know what you find

  8. Liability If it was a bumper that Lou and the boys made at Rockhard no problem as welding integrity is important Rockhard makes bolt on parts for towing with after market bumpers
  9. If you have covered all the other parts and that is all that is left Part of the ground is burner to electrode so it can see the flame as a small current needs to pass through the flame
  10. The burner safety is not seeing the flame bad ground dirty flame rod ignitor
  11. They can fail and not split open 95% of the time they expand some or split and leak Most HVAC tecs can test for you or your local rewind shop It also could be low and low pressure switch shut off have a tech put a set of gauges on to check

    air tank purge

You could have three air tanks that can get moisture A primary ,a secondary and possible one for your air ride that need to be drained The drier auto purges every time you are up to pressure if to often look for the leak
  15. You create the same amount of heat to slow down no matter hard or soft Use your gears and try to use the brakes less Be safe
  16. Gear down until you hardly need your service brakes. As you learn your coach you will know the gear you need. If in not sure go lower gear and then go up as it is easier than over speed and heating your brakes.
  17. When I bought my rig the last owner never looked after the two year old tires I replaced the steers for my own piece of mind the drives looked good so I took the four tags and the two steers to a Bandag retread shop they inspected and ground four tires sized in pairs then ran another four years on them before replacing
  18. Not in the RV in the service as it comes into the property they are connected to the same panel in different locations inside the first disconnect panel They are talking about testing the power source not the RV
  19. But they are connected so not open
  20. North and south as you stated I assume you mean Neutral and ground they are attached to the same metal box so are connected so Ohm meter will not show open
  21. I was going to wait till I retired to become a paid up member but I felt it was time and I hope all other lurkers sign up and add to the pot to help them weather this down turn Bruce
  22. The way I understand you have to be properly licenced at your home and you are good The rig has to comply with the State or Province regulation you are driving in
  23. Poor air flow bad TXV or low on freon will cause it to freeze up A plugged condenser or bad fan in some cases can cause high head and also higher amperage to operate which can help cause freezing
