  1. I applaude FMCA pairing with the Michelin Advantage program. I just completed the purchase and installation of six new Michelin tires on our Itasca Suncruiser. The process is is simple and easy to complete, provided you get a cooperative Michelin Advantage Program tire dealer. The first dealer I contacted in Frederick, Maryland gave me the cold shoulder, so I went down the street to S&S Tires and found a competent and courteous dealer who made the transaction a pleasant experience. Compared to my quote from a non-participating Advantage dealer, I saved about $87.00 per tire including mounting, spin balance and new valve stems.
  2. Rule of thumb - If the transmission turns while towing, i,e. CRV and other automatics, start the engine and run it through the gears to lube the transmission. Jeep, and others, have a transfer case that, when placed in Neutral, disconnects the transmission from the drive wheels. The transmission doesn't turn. I use a hot wire from the motorhome to the tow vehicle battery, fused on both ends, that keeps the tow vehicle battery charged. Never a dead battery.
  3. Thanks for the info. When I called Workhorse directly, i was given Part # 15020729. NAPA checked it out as a good number, with picture. That's what was ordered. Hope it is the right one.
  4. Thanks Rich, NAPA says they are not the same part. The Workhorse part is a true donut gasket, where the GM part is a metal ring seal. The Workhorse part is more difficult to find but NAPA will get it in 2 to 3 days. Checking with NAPA was great advice! Don
  5. Can anyone tell me if the manifold to exhaust gasket (donut) for the 8.1 liter Vortec is the same, whether it is a Chevrolet product or a Workhorse product? When I called Workhorse I was given a Part # 15020729 for the gasket. I tried to order it on-line from a Workhorse parts store and that number was "Not a Valid Number". A Chevrolet dealer sold me a gasket, Part # 15077362 but could not confirm that it was the same (same size) as the Workhorse item. Any ideas?
