I have a 2001 V-10 and have changed mine twice. Just blow out the plug hole before taking the plug out. I put anti-sieze on the new plug before installing. There is now an updated plug for them. They are tightened down in inch pounds . So make sure you look up the torque and get it right.

The speed sensor is on the rear diff. on the drivers side I think it takes a 10mm wrench to take the bolt off. It's a no brainer to change, unplug connector take bolt out pull sensor out of hole install new re-bolt plug in connector.
