Thanks...I really like it, so far. It has a lot of options for a low cost Class A. Dual-air, Onan 5500 genset, dual-slides/toppers, partial body paint, drivers door, Big Foot levelers, rear camera, roof satellite, bay storage, 5K hitch. I've already upgraded with LED lighting, LED HDTV's w/ HD Sensar IV antenna & SensarPro Signal Strength Meter, front/rear suspension mods, 400W Inverter. Best of all no leaks or water damage and low mileage. Saving up for TPMS Sensors, Safe-T-Plus, Fantastic Fan and Koni shocks.
  2. Siskiyou Pass driving conditions are risky in the winter season, due to fog, ice and snow. I've been over the pass several times in winter with 4x4 SUV and would not want to drive it in my 32' Class A...nice drive in spring-fall. As you commented, take OR/CA-101 south along the coast and then cut over on CA-20 east to I-5 at Williams. This route avoids the SF/I-80 traffic and CA-20 is short connection and a good road for RV's to I-5. Good luck and safe travels!
  3. Hello Gene...congrats on the Safari Sahara MH. It's a very nice choice! I have a 2005 gas, class A that I picked up last year. I had a class C for many years and always wanted to move up to Class A. I'm retired and enjoy camping with wife/grandkids. Working on the RV is my new hobby, mostly upgrades...like LED lighting, LED TV's, suspension, wash/wax, etc. I live in Roseville, CA (near SAC, like you). If interested, send me a message when you get back. We could have a beer/wine and talk RV's. I've learned a lot about MH's and saved a lot of money with DIY repairs. Have a safe and enjoyable drive back to Calif. Regards, Larry
