Hi Mike, we have camped there twice in our class A. They have specific loops for camping with pets. The 700 loop has sites that will accommodate the largest class A. It is a beautiful park built by the WPA in the 1930's. It is also very popular. You can get specific info and make reservations on the New York State Parks website. The site we had very small but adequate with 15 amp electric. We had our dog along so we were limited as to which loop we could be in. The Genesee River George and waterfalls are beautiful, lots of trails for hiking. The roads are good, clearances are ok. While in the area you might want to check out Keuka Lake St. Park and Sampson State Park on Seneca Lake. All three are very popular so check ahead for availability. Keith

Don't know if this will help but I'll share it. In our 2008 Monarch, I was finding water on the left drivers foot floor area after driving in the rain. Could not find the source. Early one morning with the curtains still drawn, dark inside the coach, and facing east, I discovered a small hole in the floorboard, next to the brake pedal. The sunshine made it show, otherwise I would have never seen it. I used spray foam (very carefully with lots of masking) to fill it. I've not had any more water when driving during rains. Other Monaco Monarch owners have had the same thing, perhaps your LaPalma is similarly blessed? Keith

Honda CRV Brake Lockup
KeithB replied to mldaniels5@verizon.net's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Just to add experience with another set-up, I'm using a Roadmaster Evenbrake in our 2005 CRV, behind a Monaco Monarch. We've towed 14,000 miles with it. I did have a lock up, twice, but it was my own doing. Fortunately we were only going 15-20 mph when the toad became an anchor. When the Evenbrake is set up, you go through a test in the car to be sure it is good to go. Then once moving, you do a quick short stop to cycle the system. Well I forgot to do the moving brake check, went over a little bump in the road and the Evenbrake locked 'em up. Scared the dickens out of me the first time. (Felt a little dumb the second time!) Other than that, it has worked as advertised and kept our stopping distances reasonable. I never thought about the residual vacuum in the CRV, I suppose the two applications that happen while setting up will bleed it off. As far a seat position, I agree there should be a little bit of room between the brake unit and the seat. If I get it too snug, the brake is overly sensitive. Keith -
We camped there in early June. Many trails for hiking/biking. Beautiful beach. The sites are blacktop and level with 30 amp electric. You are very close to Toledo so you'll see the blinking lights of the radio towers and hear the trains.
