    I have the min max and have been with dish about 6 years with no problems. We have home service and in the spring I put one receiver in MH you do have to reprogram the receiver to use in MH. We have been happy with both Dish and Winegard customer service. Just a FYI my neighbor purchased the new Winegard G2 carry out, We could not get a signal at all a call to Winegard and we learned they do not recommend it for Connecticut and parts of the east coast It cannot receive the eastern arc satellite. He had to switch to the Pathway.

    I have enough room between the living room slide and frame on my pace arrow to carry a 6 ft step ladder. I made brackets to hang it on. Its out of the way hidden secure and easy to get. I did it 5 years ago and have had no problems, I have enough room between the slide and frame when it is closed to carry an even bigger one. I am thinking of going to 8 ft. I wish my Barker 42 gal tote was as easy to store.

    I did a lot of research and only found a couple of local shops that would look at the motor and if it were just minor repairs they would do it. Mine turned out to be the gear box which was beyond repair, There are no parts available for Powergear you must buy the whole assembly.

    I spent many hours searching the net, the mfg of motors and gear boxes for power gear will not sell to anyone. You might want to check the circuit breaker on the controller mine was mounted behind the electrical panel. It is a 12volt automotive style breaker (self resetting) the bedroom and living room slides controllers are the same. My bedroom slide used a 15 amp breaker and living room was a 25 amp.. Over time they do get weak a $5.00 fix.

    You can find power gear manual on line. I ran a 10 gauge pos and neg wire from my batteries to the motor one way will run it out reverse leads to pull in if it works fine your motor is ok. When I did that to mine I could hear the gears grinding. If youneed a new unit get the numbers off the old unit, There are many for sale on the net from ebay to salvage yards. You must get te right one. I ended up going to Fleetwood for a new one $525.00. It was a upgrade to my old one with higher torque.

    I have a flush floor and now it comes up and in with no stopping. If you need any more info pm me.

    I agree his and every ones advice has been a big help, Mechanics and electrical are no problem for me but woodworking? I have been very nervous about doing and this once the carpet comes up no going back, Thanks to the info I got here I am convinced it will work. I just need to keep telling myself to go slow and double check my measurements so I don't have to cut three times. Thanks again

    I guess i had tunnel vision, There was a small area that has no carpet when the slide comes in, I did get one of the planks under about 1ft then it runs into carpet again. The advice everyone has given me has convinced me it will work. Now the big problem is the weather we won't be above 50 degrees with rain and snow again. forecasts say 1-2 weeks before we improve. I talked to a couple of carpenters who did not want to do a motorhome and they say do not do it until we get a lot warmer. We start camping in May I guess we may have to take time out later come home and get it done. Thanks to all who have helped me with advice. When I do start i will post.

    Thank You. I do appreciate the info. I guess I will have to pull up some of the carpet and see if it's going to clear. Fleetwood tech support felt the carpet and pad was about the same height. I will be sweating and nervous until I know. I do know about customers I spent several years at Cummins Ct as service mgr. Its a no win job customers beat you up I was called a few names I hadn't heard before, owners want more profit, techs want more money, less work. I guess I should have rhino thick skin by now. When they asked me to go to full time instructor and field service engineer I said is "10 seconds too soon to say yes?" As soon as the Connecticut weather improves I will start.

    I was service mgr for Cummins in CT so I am very aware you don't want customers bringing in parts, I am not asking for a dealer or flooring store to install my flooring. I got quotes from some and they are way beyond what I can afford.

    I am looking for a installer independent or that does side work. I had a chance to get flooring that is a very good quality and just the color and style we wanted for a very cheap price due to a job gone wrong for someone else. It is a laminate floating floor 1/2 inch thick. I emailed Fleetwood to get a height from sub floor to bottom of the slide.

    They don't have exact measurement but said should be OK. I have carpenters that would help but we can't find any info on how to start under the slide it is a power gear flush floor slide. I have searched you tube and RV mod blogs and found lots of info but nothing in detail of how to do under the slide. Once I get past that it is pretty straight going with only a small jog in the kitchen area.

    We are retired and on a limited income so as much as I would like to drop it off and tell someone to do it I can't. I purchased this unit a 2003 Pace Arrow 37A about 5 years ago it was sadly neglected sitting in a muddy campsite under trees The price was what we could afford and I am able to do most everything myself.

    I have installed new window awnings flat screen tvs, inverter and more over many hours of labor. It is almost in like new condition. The laminate floor has been on our wish list for a long time. We see many pictures on the internet of it done and love the look. I don't have any issue with no warranty, the time I had this in a dealer for the brake recall they wanted to replace the pads with only 1300 miles and no wear or damage they charged me for a flush and new brake fluid and less than a year later the right rear sized the dealer would not help at all. I changed the caliper, pads and did a flush and new fluid myself.

    If anyone knows of a video or instructions of how to do under the slide I would appreciate it.

    I had a class C coachman 31 ft on a Ford chassis and the V10. I sold it and bought a used 2003 Pace Arrow 37 ft Work horse chassis and Vortec 8.1 w/Allison tranny. The Workhorse is night and day over the Ford. Power, mileage, shifting all better than Ford. The only problem has been the brake calipers sticking. The recall was done at a dealer who was supposed to change a flush the brake fluid. I found they didn't when a year later the right rear stuck. I replaced the caliper changed and flushed the fluid. I used the new Valvoline DOT 3-4 fluid. Now on 2nd year no problems. I plan on changing and flushing every 2 years. I get parts at NAPA and if you get one check out Omey's website it has loads of info and parts for Workhorse. I used a plan he had on the website to make a DIY trac bar. That was a big improvement in handling.

    I have the RT8000S it would start to lock on the signal and then loose it. Winegard customer service is very helpful, give them a call. Mine turned out to be the tube that holds the LNB there are two screws that hold it in place, they were loose and the tube slid out. When searching for a signal the tube would hit a bracket not allowing full tilt. It was a easy fix push the tube in and tighten the screws.
