  1. Thanks. I will follow up on your suggestions. As I said with my electrical issue, after I get my income taxes done!! I guess Uncle Sam comes first. Neither problem is a serious issue. We have water and electricity, just not like we want.

    12 V problems

I think you are both correct. That solenoid is for the emergency start. When we press that switch, it activates. Yes I have a wiring diagram. And I will start at the fuse panel and work backwards, after I finish my income tax. Thanks for your help. I will keep you informed.

    12 V problems

Just talked with Winnebago. He said yellow wire is only hot when the auxiliary start switch is activated. They can't figure anything out. I said I will probably have to go to the dealer.

    12 V problems

I have 12.7V at the input side of the solenoid and 0.5 at the ouput side. There is a yellow wire on the solenoid that I think should activate the solenoid and it is not hot. With and without shore power.

    12 V problems

Yes, 2 - 6V in a series. 12.7V with and without shore power.

    12 V problems

I just checked the battery voltage. I have 6.35 at each battery. When hooked together, each one still indicates 6.35. I guess that is the way they should register even though they are hooked together.

    12 V problems

I checked the water level a week ago and cleaned all the terminals and the grounds at the chassis.

    12 V problems

I don't have a reset button. I do have two fuses and both are good. I just got off the phone with Winnebago and he says that the converter might not be charging the batteries and I need to check their voltage. I will do that next but I don't think that is the issue because the house lights are still bright and the pump runs fine after a week of sitting with the 120V on.

    12 V problems

I have 12V house current when plugged into 120V and/or with the gen set running, Without 120V, I have no house current. I have talked with Winnebago twice. We thought it was the solenoid. I replaced it yesterday but it didn't solve the problem. Any ideas?
  10. I got the pump working fine a few weeks ago, but it cycles every minute or so. There aren't any leaks. Is there a setting on the pump to reduce cycling?
  11. I took the pump completely apart. It did have some small pieces of white deposit, maybe mineral or crud! I cleaned everything and soaked it in 50/50 vinegar water. Used an old toothbrush to clean. Reassembled and reinstalled. It did have suction on the input side, which was my original question. But when I connected the hoses it didn't pump. I loosened the output connection and out came water. Tightened it and it's working fine. It must have been air locked from the disassembly and reassembly. Thanks for all the help. Marvin
  12. Thanks and good night. I will report my results later.
  13. Yep, you are right. I will take it apart first etc., then order from Amazon!
  14. Thanks for the tip. I may disassemble it tomorrow, soak, reassemble, and give it a try before ordering a new assembly.
  15. It is not stock on my Winnebago Journey. There is nothing but line on the output side of my pump for several feet. And if I have pressure from shore water, the pressure is high at the pump.
  16. Yes, I have done that before - filled and then left the valve on fill and wondered why I didn't have water, but I figured that out fairly quickly. I just put water in the supply side with a tube and funnel, and it still didn't pump. I think I will just order a new head from Amazon. I know the motor is fine. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Marvin
  17. I have taken the pump apart, cleaned it and reassembled it. I couldn't see any physical damage. I will try Jim's suggestion and put some water with pressure on the supply side and see if it will start pumping.
  18. The pump is a couple of years old. We are full-timers. We were in a park for a month and hooked to water, so we didn't use the pump. When we disconnected from the water, it wouldn't pump. I disconnected the supply line, sucked it until there was water, then reconnected it. The little filter is fine. Shouldn't there be suction if i put my finger over the intake?
  19. I have water to the pump but none coming out. I remove the hose on the intake side and cannot feel any suction with the pump on. Shouldn't there be?
