I have the same problem with my b/w camera, all gray when backing up. Objects come out fine but thats it. I have a 2001 Beaver and not sure how well our floorplans line up but commonly there is a camera access panel high in the back of the wardrobe closet. If you don't have the bedroom slide it is probably under the fascia above your headboard. Knowing the connections is important. I would invest a good bit of time getting to the camera before buying anything. Is your monitor in the dash or above it? Mine is mounted to the bottom of the TV which is above my head. If I ever change to a color system that will be a fun mod! Good luck, Steve

What Bill said. REMCO would by the place to go for information as they specialize in making things towable. Check their website at http://remcotowing.com. Their website says "All Volkswagen 5 SPEED manual transmissions are safe to tow. The new SIX SPEED MANUAL transmission is unknown..no information is available. Check with Remco on baseplate availability." This comment relates to FWD (Front Wheel Drive), not AWD or 4x4. Give them a call. Steve Adams PS. Did a quick search on RV Network. This guy http://www.rvnetwork.com/index.php?showuser=8439 says your can is towable with the manual transmission. He adds that ROADMASTER makes a baseplate for the car.
