  1. Thanks for all the input. I do monitor refrigerator temp regularly with a thermometer that reads 37 degrees. Will try these ideas and see what works the best. I like the idea of the 4mm size screen as compared to regular size screen I was going to use.
  2. The outside refrigerator vent cover has some large holes for ventilation and I have noticed hornets and other insects flying in them. Can I put screen on the inside of the cover without losing ventilation? I don't want the insects building nests inside the compartment.
  3. I replied to you a couple of days ago, I am the one with the 2003 Coachmen. Right now I can't get you the manufacturer of my slide because it is up north and I will not be there until this weekend. But when I first started having this problem, I called them and they told me it was not a big deal. Since then they had a design change and replaced a rolled steel pin with a split pin. I tried that and didn't have any luck. The best luck I had is with the 3/16 dia. steel pins I made myself. Haven't broken one in over a year. Don't use a dowel pin, they are hardened and may cause damage before they break. If you have any questions, please e-mail me at blkoboldt@yahoo.com.
  4. I have the same problem on my 2003 Coachmen. I worked in a tool & die shop before I retired and I got some 3/16 diameter drill rod and made up about 50 pins. I carry them with me along with a small diameter punch so when one shears, all I do is knock out the broken one with a small ball peen hammer and tap in a new one. Takes about ten minutes to fix. If you know of a small shop, I am sure they can fix you right up with some pins.
  5. Lakeland RV Resort in Lakeland is a real nice park. We have been going there for 2 weeks in Nov. for about 6 years. We are leaving Fri. Jan. 6 for 2 months.Centrally located between Tampa and Orlando. Don't know what they do for Christmas, but almost everyone decorates their units for the holidays. Rates are very reasonable, $33.00 dollars a night, half that if you are a Passport America member.
  6. I have a 2003 Coachmen and had the same problem. Took it to my service center, and at that time it was still under warranty and Workhorse had them install cooling tubes, similar to ram induction hoses. You might want to contact Workhorse concerning your problem. I haven't had any problems since. Bill.
