dennischapman Report post Posted June 5, 2017 My 2016 Phaeton has pre-wired supplemental braking connection under the dashboard by driver's seat. I'm not going to be towing any time soon but did just buy a CB radio that I'd like to wire instead of using the 12V plug. Is there a plug with pigtails that connects with the supplemental brake connector? I'd like to use the hot and ground wires from this rather than splicing onto the wires in front of the brake plug. Hopefully that makes sense??
hermanmullins Report post Posted June 5, 2017 Dennis, Welcome to the Forum. If you have a 12 volt hot and a ground that is off and on with the ignition you should be able to make a connection with out splicing behind the plug. Check with a trailer parts dealer and see if there is a plug available. Herman
