Linde60 Report post Posted June 5, 2018 We are towing a 2017 XLT Explorer 4WD. Have had a SMI braking system installed on the car. Since our trip to Florida the brakes on the Explorer have been having serious issues. Took the car to the Ford dealer and he told us that the vacuum for the brakes was not working. It was not a Ford problem, but a problem for the RV dealer who installed the SMI braking system. Has anyone had any problems such as this? Was the vacuum for the car's braking compromised by a faulty installation?
