goodthief Report post Posted April 4, 2009 I have a Beaver Marquis and some of the ceiling lights that are mounted in the wood need replacement. The book says a quarter turn will remove the glass. I can not open the darn thing. I tried using rubber gloves to aid in the friction, but still no luck. Anybody have an answer?
lpfdon Report post Posted April 4, 2009 I believe I have the same lights in my Safari. Yes, a counter clockwise turn does remove the glass. A dead fly was in one of mine, so I did remove it for cleaning. My light fixtures are on a spring-loaded clip so I can pull them slightly out of the ceiling to get a better grip. PIPEWRENCHGRIP Report post Posted April 6, 2009 I have the same type of lights in my New Monaco. I just replace a bulb in one of them. I had the same problem untill I discovered I could pull the fixture down a bit and then remove the lens.. Putting in the bulb was a bit awkward with the two little prongs to line up. Tilting my head upside down and trying to see what I'm doing with bifocals. Good Luck Bill
