txcopycat@aol.com Report post Posted June 28, 2010 I Purchased a new (to me) Holiday Rambler Motorhome from Texas Best RV out of Humble Texas. The purchase was made at the end of April and at the end of June, I still do not have hard plates. When I made an inquiry about that, I was told that they would send me a new set of "paper" plates. After checking with Car Dealer friends I am being told that they are beyond legal limits on furnishing clear title and plates. When I made my last call to them and suggested they had exceeded legal limits, and that another set of paper plates was not good enough, they called me names and used vulgar language to the extent that I hung up on them. My dealer friends tell me that they are floating my money as long as they can to make other transactions and that this is not legal beyond a certain limit. I am curious if anyone knows the law for Texas in this matter and what my remedies might be at this point. Signed: All dressed up and nowhere to go!!!
