Lemley@theriver.com Report post Posted September 29, 2010 We are our way to Key West, but weather is not good and need to stop in Homestead, Forida. Any suggestions for campgrounds in the area?
Guest Wayne77590 Report post Posted September 29, 2010 Dr., I cannot say for sure any particular CG, but if you are just looking for a few nights stay type in "Homestead, FL" without the quotes and a google map will appear as one of the search items. Then, in the Google Maps search bar, type in RV Park. You will get a lot of hits. You can move the map around and the CG's will change with the local. Happy hunting. raydf@acm.org Report post Posted September 30, 2010 I think that the best in the area (and it's cheap, to boot) is the Larry & Penny Thompson Park / Campground: http://www.miamidade.gov/parks/parks/larry_penny.asp Ray Miami FL 2009 Fleetwood Pulse 24A
tbutler Report post Posted October 1, 2010 I've been posting this regularly since I found the site (Thanks Bill Adams) - Check RV Park Reviews for parks near Homestead. They have over 112,000 reviews that will give you opinions of people who have stayed at each park in the area. I still use the campground guides from Trailer Life and Woodall's but if you want the low down on what the parks are like, check this web site. It is well organized. You can get a quick look at all the parks around and near Homestead with one query.
