mikev Report post Posted January 8, 2011 Hello All, just wondering if Letchworth State Park in New York is a Class A friendly park? A friend recommended it but he was there with a tent trailer. Are the sites a good size, also is the roadway in OK. I have been to some state and provincial parks (Canadian) that have a lot of low trees-branches that are not too Class A friendly. The park and area look great based on what I can find on the web. Thanks for any help.
KeithB Report post Posted January 16, 2011 Hi Mike, we have camped there twice in our class A. They have specific loops for camping with pets. The 700 loop has sites that will accommodate the largest class A. It is a beautiful park built by the WPA in the 1930's. It is also very popular. You can get specific info and make reservations on the New York State Parks website. The site we had very small but adequate with 15 amp electric. We had our dog along so we were limited as to which loop we could be in. The Genesee River George and waterfalls are beautiful, lots of trails for hiking. The roads are good, clearances are ok. While in the area you might want to check out Keuka Lake St. Park and Sampson State Park on Seneca Lake. All three are very popular so check ahead for availability.
