DaveOglevie Report post Posted October 9, 2011 Is it possible to tow a standard shift 5 speed transmission AWD Subaru? If so are there any modifications that need to be made?
wolfe10 Report post Posted October 9, 2011 Welcome to the FMCA Forum. Yes, the manual transmission Subarus are towable 4 wheels down. Here is a list of Towables for the last 10 years here on FMCA's website: http://www.fmca.com/motorhome/towing/204-towing-guides-towing-four-wheels-down Just click on the model year of the vehicle you want to check. The only exception I am aware of is the 2011/2012 small GM cars such as the Cruze with automatic transmission. GM has still not compiled a complete updated list concerning which small automatic transmission vehicles in 2011 and 2012 are/are not towable. Brett
DaveOglevie Report post Posted October 10, 2011 Thank you for the prompt response. A local RV shop told me it wasn't towable. Thank you for the welcome. I'm newbie to Class A's. My small Toyota wasn't able to tow so this is a learning experience. Dave Oglevie Chelan, WA
