davidlpope Report post Posted November 10, 2011 Has anyone ever towed a Dodge Dakota 4X4 Quad Cab? If so, how does it do? Any good points, bad points or anything that will help a fellow member? Right now I'm just thinking about towing a new one (2011). Thanks. Dave
bldr110 Report post Posted November 10, 2011 Dave, I just bought a 2011 Dakota 4X4 Extended cab and are gettiing ready to leave Saturday. It will be the first trip with the Dakota, Have towed a 2005 Jeep Liberty 4X4 and a 2008 Chevy Colorado 4X4 and had no issues towing either. I am looking forward to towing the Dakota. kytruckerman Report post Posted August 6, 2015 What tow bar and size and model is the motorhome you towed it with? I am trying to see if my 2007 Dakota quad cab, V-8 can be towed with my 2003 Georgetown.Have a Roadmaster bar and an auxiliary brake system. The hitch on my motorhome says 3600lbs. wolfe10 Report post Posted August 6, 2015 kytruckerman, Welcome to the FMCA Forum. Let's start with two questions-- your hitch is rated for 3,600 pounds. What does the Dakota quad cab weigh? And, does the weight of the loaded motorhome and Dakota fall under the GCWR?
Walt2137 Report post Posted August 7, 2015 Brett according to my book a 07 Dakota V6 quad cab weight is over 4300 lb without 4X4 or the V8.
