cstice Report post Posted April 17, 2012 I would like to tow a 2001 Lexus RX 300 behind a 32 ft. Fleetwood Fiesta gas RV. Is that possible?
hermanmullins Report post Posted April 18, 2012 cstice, Welcome to the Forum. According to the towing guide here, the answer is yes. Your Lexus RX 300 2 Wheel or 4 Wheel drive are towable 4 down with limits. Max speed of 55 MPH and max of 200 miles with out stopping and starting the engine. Most time they require you to run the engine for 5 minutes and to shift it through the gears while you are running it. Check Blue Ox, Roadmaster, Falcon and see which one has Base Plates for the Lexus RX 300.
bmcfaror Report post Posted April 25, 2012 I was looking at towing a 99-01 RX300 as well. Did notice that it was listed as towable. Called my service advisor at Lexus and he said "No way" They have had way too many problems with their transmissions (Google RX transmission problems, it will scare you). He said that in the 17 years that he has been at the dealership, he would not recommend it, transmission is just too fragile and towing it will only lead to problems. Good luck on your search. Mocha Report post Posted June 14, 2012 I am planning to tow an RX330 and will have a Remco lube pump installed. Does anyone have any experience towing an RX330 and if so what have you done to make towable?
