This Is Texas!

Question

If you would like a little touch of Texas,,,,you can order a free Travel Guide,,,,It is one of the best and most comprehensive state travel books we have seen.. We order one every year.

I am in no way associated with the State of Texas Department of Tourism.......This is a great guide. If you don't come, that's ok,,,,,more Tacos for me.,,,,and let's see,,,,,more Sangria,,,,,,more Margaritas',,,,,,,,,and mooorrrrre,,,,,,

Don't worry about the big grasshoppers, Ipfdon mentioned in his Blog,,,,,just throw a saddle on em,,,,go for a ride.

Besides the book, another good way to get a Taste Of Texas, is to come visit.

Just this evening I walked into a HEB (grocery store) and just happened to overhear a lady exclame, "Oh my gosh, this is big!" I said, "Welcome to Texas - everything is bigger."

She agreed and we chatted for awhile. They were from Alabama and just staying in a Hotel.

Not everything in Texas is really "bigger," but our heads seem to make it that way, so come on down! (or over)

For those who come, know that boots and a cowboy hat are fashionable, beef (not pork) BBQ is number one on the list, its a 10 hour drive from border to border, we don't make chili with beans, and good mexican food is not at the Taco Bell. Where else can you find beaches, mountains, lakes, cactus, 8 pro sports teams, and tourist attractions to suit everyone?

Wayne77590> I was in Florida a few months back and the entry travel stops served a small cup of orange juice. Perhaps we should be doing the same with margaritas.

Utah has one of the nicest Travel Guides I've ever seen.

PS: I almost forgot...Remember the Alamo.

"Where else can you find beaches, mountains, lakes, cactus, 8 pro sports teams, and tourist attractions to suit everyone?"

Leav'n the Hill Country and head'n to Magnolia Beach Friday ;) then up the Texas Coast,,,,,head'n outta Texas :) AND the moral of the Story is don't get married and have kids,,,,,,,OOOOOOPS! Too Late!!!!

After head'n to LA (lower Alabama), Florida, North Carolina, Virginia,,,,,,and HA (Higher Alabama),,,,,I get to look forward to head'n back to the Republic of Texas,,,,,,,Oooops BF!,,,,,wishful think'n,,,,,,I mean the Great State of Texas!!!!!!!HOME!

By then,,,,I'll need to visit with Judge Roy and Miss Lily,,,,,,stop for TerlinguaRita,,,,,,,,,and Leakey (that's "Lakey") so won't need to after the Rita,,,,before com'n back home to the Hill Country....via Amistad,,,,Fort Clark Springs.

Yesterday was the day in 1836 when Remember the Alamo and Remember Goliad was clearly understood........Texas History wrote itself!

Hope your boat safely floats the Guadulupe, Perdenales, Brazos and Matagorda Bay.

Don't forget lunch in Agua Dulce.

If you happen to see Juan Seguin,,,,well you're not reading this!

10 hours to drive across Texas!! You must have taken a short border to border route. My trip planner has it as 880 miles from Sabine River to the border around Anthony, TX, staying on I-10. I Don't think that is doable in 10 hours unless you have a very fast car and police escort.

I'm up for the M'gritas!
