sandyhepburn Report post Posted March 22, 2013 Hello, everybody. We just joined FMCA last week for the Michelin discount. We've been RVing since 1978 in a variety of rigs. We started in a 1978 Cal-Camper - a 17' micro-mini built on a Toyota chassis. We then changed to a used 11' cabover camper, then a 24' Prowler trailer, a 34' Shasta fifth wheel, a 31' Wilderness fifth wheel, a 36' Sierra fifth wheel, a 36' Triumph fifth wheel, and finally a 36' Bounder. So, we've mostly been in fifth wheels but moved to the Bounder because Sandy feels more comfortable driving it than she did driving an F450 with a huge fifth wheel behind it. We're retired, but not traveling much because we're babysitting our 2 year old grandson so his parents don't have to pay for day care, and we don't want strangers raising our grandson. We attend the Western region Fleetwood Motorhome Association Rally every year, and have attended two FMCA rallies in the past as Fleetwood Ambassadors, but never as FMCA members.
