terryb82454 Report post Posted August 15, 2013 We've been staying at this park since Monday 8/12. We had pre-paid (non-refundable) for a week's stay. When we checked in, there was a notice that we needed to boil our drinking water. No one in the office bothered to mention this, but we did overhear the manager tell someone on the phone that the problem should be corrected by Tuesday. There has been a water tanker truck in the parking lot all week, but how sanitary is that water for drinking??? No thank you! It's now Thursday night and we still have little water pressure, and we have never received any updates from the office on this water situation. I am still boiling water to rinse our dishes, and we are almost out of bottled water. On Tues. & Weds. the water was shut off while I was in the shower. I had to use bottled water to finish rinsing. We've heard from other campers that we won't have any luck trying to get any refund or rebate. Not a very RV friendly park - even though they offer an FMCA discount. I would not recommend this park to anyone!
gmoreno Report post Posted August 19, 2013 Bummer to hear of your woes. We've stayed at Apple Island Twice - in summer 2010 and summer 2011. Never had any issues. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. New owner took over several years ago and constructed the huge club house with state of the art health fitness equipment. Also and in order to attract folks with kids, they really ramped up activities for the kids. Thanks for the update. Rob
