Electrical Problem

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am new here and new owner of 96 Damon on Ford chassis.

The cigarette lighter, map lights and isle lights all stopped working.

I assume from a cigarette lighter short maybe..

The individual fuses seem fine could it be a relay?

Cilow,

Welcome to FMCA !

Not common for there to be a relay in the circuits you mentioned.

Could you list the Ford chassis your coach is built on and Damon Model. In the meantime look in the area of the main fuse panel for the engine and instrument panel fuses. Fuse box should also house the headlight and other high current fuses.

Rich.

I don't know if it helps but all those lights and cigarette lighter run off my house batteries in my coach. Granted, mine is a 2011model (Itasca) so much may be different. Check that house batteries disconnect is on and look for 12 volt house breakers or fuses.

c1low,

Do you have a Challenger, Intruder, Ultrasport or Daybreak model coach? That information could help pin down the circuit. Manufactures can change some of the wiring around on different models made in the same year.

The chassis is likely a F53, but the chassis specifications can very some depending on the coach layout.

Rich.
