Rock Guard for Tiffin Allegro RED 38QBA

I just ordered a Tiffin Allegro RED 38QBA that will arrive the first week in March. It wasn't offered from the factory but I asked if I could install a rock guard on the rear to prevent damage to my toad. I was told that they don't mount them at the factory because the exhaust will cause the "rubber to melt". Has anyone installed a rock guard on this type of coach and have they had a problem?

Also you might want to call the Tiffin Service Center in Red Bay, AL as they sell these guards but I have no knowledge if they are only for specific models.
