ANHughes Report post Posted February 22, 2014 I just moved from Phoenix area to Palm Springs, but the Direct TV channel guide still shows the local Phoenix channels. I manually changed the zip code in the settings, but doesn't seem to make a difference. Any suggestions??
BillAdams Report post Posted February 22, 2014 You Network programming is available only where the account is registered so when you move too far away from that location you will receive no Network programming at all. If you are only going to move a few times per year you can call DirecTV and tell them you have moved to your Winter residence (no need to mention an RV) and they will move your service address (do not have them change your billing address) to your current location and you "new " locals will appear. If you still have receivers at home that are in use, those receivers will be changed as well and they will lose all network programming. If you have all your receivers with you (or they are not in use at home) and you will be moving on a regular basis, you can fill out the required waiver to allow you to receive the DNS (Distant Network Services) Networks. Instead of getting local Networks you will get the Network programming from Los Angeles everywhere you go without having to call anyone. This adds $15/month to your bill. If you want to watch the 5:00 news in Palm Springs then you raise your OTA antenna.
