North Fl. to Vacaville CA

Good morning,

Floridaroom5 is leaving North FL for it's first time and making way to Vacaville CA. early May making stops in Destin, Vidalia LA,Lake Fork TX, Flagstaff, Las Vegas and ending up in Vacaville Ca.

So far we have made plans to CA and now trying to make plans for the return trip back to Florida. We are thinking of stopping on our return in South Lake Tahoe, Moab UT, and Denver Co. Any advice for the best route for the return to Fl. would be very much appreciated. According to the map it appears that 80 to Salt Lake then south through Provo to 70 is a consideration.

Hello Tom:

We did this basic route from Miami two summers ago. We dropped down to Zions National Park and then turned Eastward hitting the other 4 National Parks that were basically one after the other in Southern and Eastern Utah. This was a fantastic trip and even though we were tempted to miss one or more of these parks we are very glad we did not miss any. My wife and mother in law took the CRV Toad into Moab while I took the motor home to Grand Junction for a front wheel bearing problem. All of these Parks are well worth the time, effort and expense. We had one bad experience in St. Lake City campground wherein we plugged our sewere hose in what appeared to be sewer hole that was in fact blocked and you can guess what happened next. A few feet further away was the actual sewer pipe. Forgot the name of the place but it was a very large park that we will recognize and never return. Did not get a very nice response from management about the lack of signage

We will likely do the Utah Parks at some point on our journey this year that starts in Orlando, then on to Nova Scotia before heading west to Washington State on down to Sourthern California. I will be glad to tell you anything else that would be helpful. This will be our 4th year to do the whole circuit from South to North and East to West. Best of luck. Paul.
