jimwyn2 Report post Posted May 24, 2015 I want to tow a 2005 Cadillac Escalade AWD four wheels down. There is no "neutral switch" for this model. Blue Ox offers a tranny pump. Will that solve my problem or do I also need something for the transfer case? A friend suggested I disconnect and remove the front drive shaft and get a RWD kit to mechanically disconnect the rear drive shaft. Any thoughts on that? Open to suggestions. Thanks! hermanmullins Report post Posted May 25, 2015 Jim, I had a Remco Drive Shaft Disconnect on my last Silverado 2 wheel drive and it worked fine. You might contact Remco and see if they have ever made a disconnect for both the front and rear drive shafts. It seems to me if it works for the rear, is should work on the front. It would mean 2 levers to pull rather then 1 to disconnect and reconnect. Herman
CarlAda Report post Posted May 25, 2015 Check with http://www.remcoindustries.com/Towing/Store.php. They will be able to tell you what is needed to tow it. A quick check says that all you need (beyond the basic towing things) is a lube oil pump. I tow a 2007 Cadillac STS with a lube oil pump from them and have no issues.
