werudd@cavtel.net Report post Posted March 12, 2009 My Winnabago is on a 1999 Ford -V-10 Chassis. I recently experienced a failure with the cruise control (speed control ) system. I visited Colonial Ford Truck in Richmond, VA and discovered that there was a factory recall outstanding on my unit. They replaced a sensor (speed control deactivation switch) and wiring harness that solved the problem. There was no charge to me. If other owners with Ford chassis are experiencing similar problems, cantact a Ford truck service facility and have them enter their VIN (Vehicle identification Number) and see if their unit is covered by the recall. tireman9 Report post Posted July 3, 2009 Glad you got this done. I have heard of some cars having a failure in the garage while parked and the ignition was off. Somewhere there is a service you can subscribe to to get a notice on all recalls. If I find it, I will come back and post the link.
