wolfe10 Report post Posted October 9, 2009 In my "crawl around" I noticed that the wires from the Allison input side speed sensor were very close to the exhaust pipe on the Cummins C engine. Because the sensor wires were not tightly secured, their jacket had melted from contact with the exhaust pipe. Much more driving WOULD have melted the sensor wires together and led to a transmission fault.
