kentwatson Report post Posted October 27, 2015 I'm new to the forum and I suspect that this topic may be one that has been previously discussed. My wife and I just purchased a 2009 Phaeton 36'. It has no brake controller for conventional trailer brakes (I plan to pull an enclosed trailer). There is a pre-wired "pig tail" under the dash for a controller. However, in talking with a Tiffin tech. he indicated that they (Tiffin) never could find a controller specific to the Freightliner wiring harness. When I asked what they did to install a controller he responded that they "just found the wires that were needed in the harness and attached them to the controller being installed". Surely there's a controller specifically made for this application or an adapter for a controller or controllers that adapt to the Freightliner harness. Any specific help would be appreciated.
