debheen Report post Posted October 28, 2015 While driving in the Texas rain last weekend, I noticed a small amount of moisture coming in and wetting the dash cover. This is a 2004 Monaco Diplomat with a split windshield. I purchased it used in March. I need to know more about what to look for, how to correct it, is this something I need to hire out? While looking over the outside, some of the black sealant appears to be degrading, although the silicone on the center line seems okay. One side of the very bottom center may be missing, maybe a 1/4" or less. Suggestions, good advice welcome! Currently in the Livingston, TX, area volunteering at CARE with Escapees. Thanks! wolfe10 Report post Posted October 28, 2015 debheen, Welcome to the FMCA Forum. If you can, find out what sealant was used/what method of attachment was used by Monaco (call Monaco with your VIN). Some use a rubber gasket, some just sealant. Here is a good quality polyurethane sealant used by many: http://usa.sika.com/en/automotive/automotive-transportation-home/01a005/01a005sa12/01a005sa12100/01a005sa12101.html Click on Sikaflex 221. Here is the distributor in Houston: http://www.nappco.com/
Rickwerth Report post Posted October 29, 2015 Had to reseal each of the exterior lights above the windshield. Also check behind the window frame for any gaps in the seal.
