FunbeamChuck@yahoo.com Report post Posted October 26, 2009 I just call up the Customer Service and tell them the address and Zip of my new location, and within minutes (or less) the local channels come in as well as network and all other chanels. The change is always free, unlike Dish. Also, I do change the Zip on the System Setup ... This takes more time than the Customer Service change as it has to go through it's entire setup. Hope this helps.
bounderfreddy Report post Posted November 16, 2009 You can also call Direct TV and get Distant Network Service. You will need to send them a copy of your registration, which takes a bit of time, but in the end the payoff is good. You wind up with network channels from the eastcoast and westcoast. You will have them all of the time. bounderfreddy
littlebaler@charter.net Report post Posted November 17, 2009 Can anyone tell me what DirecTV rules are for getting local stations while traveling? You mention that you change the zip in the system setup, is this setup while on Direct? Do you then pay your bill on line with paperless billing? We changed our location address once and then the statements started going to that address. Thanks for the help.
