Towing 1997 Saturn SW

Recommended Posts

Your owners manual should have all the info you need. I believe there is a section titled Recreational Towing. If you don't have the manual your local Saturn dealer should be able to assist you.

Just a few thoughts on the owners manual. It should be available on the Internet. eBay, among other sites, lists all sorts of "stuff."

Check FMCA's annual towing guide from way back.

Call REMCO (1-877-645-7169 or www.remcotowing.com) and they'll have that info.

I'm making the assumption that your Saturn is equiped with the automatic transmission and FWD, as are most.

My recollection is that there are one or two fuses to pull, and I don't know which ones.

Do it the same way EVERY TIME.

I own the same vehicle and have towed it 26,000 miles without issue by simply placing the shifter in neutral, turning the ignition switch to the first click from the off position and, in my case (having an automatic transmission), maintaining a towing speed not to exceed 64 m.p.h.
