dgordon@ori.net Report post Posted August 27, 2016 I have a 2011 A/C Revolution whose house batteries are not being charged by the engine alternator. I have 14.4 volts at the charging relay from the engine (when running) and I have 12.6 volts on the other side of the relay from the house batteries. Is this an automatic charge when engine is running? Do I have to activate a switch to get the relay to engage? I have a yellow secondary wire on one side of the relay and a white/black secondary wire on the other side. The yellow wire is not energized when engine is running and I can't get to the black & white wire to see if I have power to the relay. Does anyone know which is ground and which is hot and what activates the hot side of the relay?
hermanmullins Report post Posted August 27, 2016 dgordan, Welcome to the Forum. Your Black wire is load/hot while the White is ground. Herman
five Report post Posted August 28, 2016 On most Fleetwoods, the engine will charge the chassis batteries. Once they get up to a certain charge level, they will let the charge go through to the coach batteries. When on shore power, it works the same except the charge goes first to the coach batteries, then the chassis batteries.
