beschmidtke Report post Posted September 12, 2016 I just purchased a 2017 Acadia and have found very little information on dingy towing the vehicle. The manual only states to remove the shifter boot and manually release the shifter into neutral. No mention of unlocking the steering or if it is necessary to remove fuses. Does anyone have experience towing the new Acadia?
ajshepherd Report post Posted September 12, 2016 Hi Beschmidtke: I can only comment on our good experience with our 2012 GMC Acadia as follows: We need to pull both BATT and ECM fuses (Switch off switches we installed). They trans in neutral and the key in ACC to fee up the steering wheel. All other years seem to be the same. You may want to contact GM (Dealer) they should have good guidance on this. Good luck. Tony.
beschmidtke Report post Posted September 12, 2016 Thanks for the response. I will probably have to call GM. I have contacted Road Master and our Acadia will be the first 2017 for them to work on, so they also didn't have experience with the new model. It is not convenient to have to pull the shifter boot to manually shift the vehicle to neutral. Hopefully that is not the case. Bill
