I am currently a retired Deputy Sheriff from Southern California. I retired from this job in August 2010 with 33 years of law enforcement service credit at 50 years of age. I am already retired from the military as a Sergeant Major (E9) with 28 years of service credit: 4 years active Marine Corps (Infantry & Marksmanship Instructor) and 24 years Army Reserve (Military Police & NCO Academy Instructor). I also worked for 8 years as a Community College Professor (classroom & online) teaching all of the various courses within the Criminal Justice Associate Degree Program.

My hobbies are RVing, cruising, traveling, sight seeing, computers, hunting, fishing, digital photography, movie collecting, movie watching, listening to music, eating out in various fine dining restaurants, staying in 4 & 5 star resort condo timeshares, and financial investing. I use to shoot competition firearms in the military and still own several rifles, pistols, and shotguns for hunting, target shooting, and self/home defense.

My wife Debbie is currently a Program Director at a community college and will be quitting her job at the end of May 2011. She enjoys all of the same hobbies as I do plus singing, reading, and cooking. I have 5 children and 2 grandchildren.

I have been planning my retirement since I was a junior in high school (16 years old) working part-time, night shift as a dish washer in a truck stop in Bond County, Illinois. I now have a loving wife whom is also my best friend to enjoy my retirement with. We owned a Class C for several years and just purchased our first Class A motor coach in April 2009 since the prices got so ridiculously low, we could not wait any longer and decided to purchase early before retirement. We purchased a 2004 Newmar Essex 4503 Luxury Coach and named her "THE WINDSWEPT PEARL." She is 45 ft long with 4 slides and a Cummins ISM 500 HP engine.

SPECIAL NOTE: My wife and I have enough timeshare credits/points with WorldMark and Vacation Internationale Resorts to stay 4 months per year in them for the rest of our lives. We also love to go on cruises and plan on taking 2 to 4 cruises per year starting in 2012; currently we do 1 or 2 cruises per year while still working. We are also real movie buffs and have a collection of more than 2,500 digital movies and growing. We both love to hunt and fish and plan on trying as many new locations as our travels bring us to.
