  1. I'm not sure I understand "it isn't a done deal yet". Did you expect Winnebago to simply write a 344 million dollar check and pick up the key to the front door last Sunday? As the article pretty well stated, Winnebago needs the Newmar branded high end coaches and will certainly gain knowledge about the quality of the workmanship that goes into the lower price point Newmar coaches. The only hurdle I see is the governmental requirement issues. Please enlighten us if you see a major stumbling block.
  2. Is there some reason for not getting the TSD card, Joe? Pump start with the Love's app while sitting in the drivers seat, no going inside at all.
  3. Joe, were you able to find out how they are paid and is there a place to see current prices in specific areas? Until recently, TSD sent an email daily with prices, now its on their website.
  4. The only deductions from my bank by TSD have been for fuel purchases.
  5. Well...there goes our customer service and Newmar quality. https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/winnebago-industries-to-buy-newmar-for-about-344-mln-quick-facts-1028526379?fbclid=iwar17kgtlkbwv2bg7rkuzka0jswsgo1fypxbnx_vcrn6jboiujmqrbnshgww
  6. If anyone is interested in purchasing a water softener for your coach, this is a good time. I ordered the On The Go OTG4-DBLSOFT-Portable 16,000 Grain RV Water Softener from Camping World. Using the coupon code "endofsummer" and free shipping, I paid $212.32 + sales tax. Amazon had the best price I could find $279.90 + tax. I'm not endorsing any product.
  7. Rich, when I had the issue I disconnected the chassis ground cable to kill the engine.
  8. Glad to hear, Lyle; more evidence its not an inherent problem like a so-called tech told another Newmar owner.
  9. This link provides comprehensive steps for draining your holding tanks. https://www.sanidumps.com/howtoemptyyourtanks.php
  10. My gut tells me it has something to do with the electric/electronics wiring controlling the fuel shut off valve.
  11. I had the same issue on a 2008 Freightliner with a Cummins engine. It happened twice within a matter of days and never happened again. At that time, Pat was still at the Gaffney Service Center, I called her to see if they had any information on the issue. It just so happened they had a motorhome in that had been there for 3 weeks as I recall. They started and shut it down 8-10 times a day and never duplicated the problem. As far as I know they never did diagnose the cause the problem. For me, it happened those two times and never happened again the last 4 years I owned it but you can bet I thought about it every time I turned the key off.
  12. I used diesel to start brush fires for years when I had my ranch. I would use a paper feed sack to start it. The crews clearing land for highway R-O-W's used diesel to for years to start the fires; I don't know what the use today. Maybe we have a more volatile diesel here in Texas, Joe. Just to not stray from the topic, I don't recommend burning the diesel while its in your tank to destroy the algae.
  13. As long as my exhaust smells like french fries, I don't care.
  14. My suggestion would be to call them and ask. I haven't heard any gasser comment on fuel cost/savings on any of the forums I visit.
  15. The TSD Logistics program is for diesel fuel only.
  16. This is an interesting topic. So we go from fossil diesel to biodiesel and now possibly to renewable diesel. https://www.chron.com/business/energy/article/Valero-Darling-planning-major-renewable-diesel-14424412.php
  17. It is not an inherent problem for DSDP's or VTDP's. Maybe this link will help. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f103/getting-hot-under-kitchen-sink-from-oasis-439468.html http://www.irv2.com/forums/f103/excessive-heat-kitchen-area-under-sink-427563.html
  18. Sometimes patience and being cautious can be financially costly, Joe. 🤷‍♂️
  19. You have a pump running constantly. Check the switch on top of the silver control box and you will probably find its been turned on. Turn it off.
  20. FYI...the hood release cable and the unclaimed electrical connector are not chassis related. Brett, he has an air dryer and most likely has three drain lanyards.
  21. You can get the fault code from the LBCU by going to the Diagnostic menu.
  22. Thanks for the post. Just verified mine are correct.
  23. You have to wonder how many are replaced and the "broken one" is tossed when it could be repaired.
