  1. Sorry....To directly answer the OP's question, the only discounts available to rvers are through Good Sam. I don't know what else can be said about Flying J discounts.
  2. I feel good, just sorry it took us 7 overtimes to win.
  3. I used Robert for years when I lived in the Houston area, is Richard as competent as Robert?
  4. I hope my Garmin RV660LMT doesn't use traffic to set my course and actually I don't believe it does. Richard, you're stating if I enter my destination from X to Y the night before and the highway is closed at some point for construction but will be reopened by morning, the Garmin will possibly route me miles out of my way needlessly. I've had my Garmin notify me of traffic ahead but it never tried to reroute me. I'm a member of a Garmin Basecamp group and that is a subject thats never come up. Many members spend weeks laying out their summer travels months ahead of time on Basecamp so what your saying is what they enter in April may alter their trip in June because of a multi car accident on the interstate the day they make their plans in April for June travel. Hogwash!
  5. Yep...The Hartford. The only downside is you need to be an AARP member to qualify for the discounts.
  6. I have a Truckers Atlas that I use to verify and look for alternate routes. Give that a try.
  7. So I guess with the open flame theory they need to confiscate all my butane lighters I use for fire starting. Who knows, I may want to light a candle while driving through a tunnel. I'm thankful Dianahc was able to have heat inside the coach while traveling and hopefully her back issues are getting better.
  8. A driveshaft coupler may be less expensive than a new transmission.
  9. I had to shut the propane off when traveling the Bolivar/Galveston ferry but I didn't have to on the Aransas Pass/Port Aransas ferry. Both in Texas. Rich, who will turn the CNG off on the self driving tractors that are in the future?
  10. I totally agree. I wish there was a way to disable the side cameras because I've always used the rear view to help when passing. The lag time is very distracting.
  11. Since the highway was decommissioned, Route 66 no longer exists on modern maps. In some places, in fact, the physical road is unpaved and virtually impassable. However, you can still follow some of theoriginal road in your car. In many states, Route 66parallels the interstate highway.

    Cummins Service

The receptionist may not know the difference in a RV and a lift truck.
  13. I had a similar problem on a 2007 Freightliner/Cummins. Freightliner sent me a wiring harness with different connectors on it. The wiring is daisy chained so it doesn't matter what order the connections are made. This was a big problem in the 2007-2009 era.
  14. Kay may be on to something. Did he ever leave his truck after fueling? These are the same people that will pull the pin(s) on your towbar.
  15. Check with the park you're staying. Often there are services that come to the parks to wash rigs.
  16. DEF will degrade over time depending on temperature and exposure to sun light. Expectations for shelf life as defined by ISO Spec 22241-3 are the minimum expectations for shelf life when stored at constant temperatures. If stored between 10 and 90 deg F, shelf life will easily be one year. I read it on the internet....
  17. If the roads are clear enough to get to the airport.
  18. DougJames, You're the first rv owner I've ever heard say their RV purchase was a "good investment". Congratulations, that is awesome.
  19. I think we're in a situation where we need to just agree to disagree. Those of us who choose to run stabilizers will continue to use them and those that don't use them will continue to not use them and be happy. Happy Thanksgiving my friends.
  20. I still want to know why Byron made the statement east Texans are snobs. Kerrville and the surrounding area would be my starting point if I were relocating. The closer you get to San Antonio the closer you're getting to the Kallyfornians that are migrating to Texas.
  21. I understand now, Joe. I thought he meant the valve stem moved out until it touched the wheel and the valve stem stopped and didn't move.
  22. You're stating the valve stem "gradually contacts the rim & simply stops there". You don't really believe that do you?
  23. Byron, what are you basing your opinion on that east Texans are snobs? I would caution you, there are several of us on the forum and we don't take kindly to yankees making derogatory comments about us.🤷‍♂️
