  1. I have a different opinion, Amazon is a great reference for reviews of the product. I'm not suggesting purchasing from Amazon but I do check reviews on items I'm interested in purchasing. I recently visited with the owner of Tweetys.com and he said they have less returns and /or complaints with the TST System than others, for whatever thats worth.
  2. If the engine is equipped with the Horton fan clutch, this is a true symptom of a bad clutch.
  3. I understand your frustration but I will point out it doesn't appear you should be mad at Newmar but rather the manufacturers of the components you've needed to repair/replace. Newmar didn't design, build or install the Cummins engine, etc. I do question why you needed to replace the "instant water heater" for $3.6 when you could have repaired it. Likewise with the Atwood electric jacks. I wish you success buying and owning your next coach.
  4. I recently read where a campground required you to show your motorhome registration papers at check in. In my opinion, thats a little much. There are several older Prevost, Bluebirds, Foretravels, etc that I guess wouldn't be able to get in to that CG.
  5. You forgot one thing, Herman, what do the drivers do once they deliver the coaches? Do they remain in Utah for a "week or so"? Who pays their expenses while there? Personally, I think it would be about as cheap to charter a plane, rent vehicles and stay in a multi bedroom home. Plus, if they are thinking about going this year it may be hard to get reservations this late.
  6. Ross, since you seem to be the man in the know, who do I contact to receive a copy of the last audited, which I assume would be 2017, income statement? Thanks.
  7. The RF-18 went thru the door on my 2008 Fleetwood Bounder diesel. i had to disconnect the door catch so the door would swing full open. The Nocold went out the same door. The delivery guys from either Lowes or Home Depot (old timers memory) removed the doors from the Samsung, brought in thru the entry door, re-installed the doors and set it in the opening for me and yes they received a nice tip. I did remove the driver and passenger seats for better access. I suggest you do some measuring for height consideration.
  8. Please do come back. Some of us get a little restless at times listening to the same members bloviating.
  9. If you're talking about the roadside checklist, its a printable pdf file.
  10. If you want to keep the pleats nice and stiff, when they are in the raised position spray them with spray starch. Let the starch dry good before lowering them.
  11. I recently bought a new towbar, Blue Ox Avail, 10,000# rated. Since both my Jeep and GMC Canyon were setup for Blue Ox, economically speaking, it was a no brainer for me. I now have a slightly used Blue Ox 7500# aluminum tow bar available.
  12. You probably know this but when you get the measurements make sure they tell you where to take the measurements.
  13. I understand the horse is out of the barn so no use closing the door now but always pull forward a few feet with someone checking to make sure the tow bar latches properly and the brakes aren't dragging.
  14. I thought narrow sites and narrow roads were a standard layout for KOA's.
  15. Do you have the specs on what the ride height should be? You could find you need to lower the high side instead of raising the side you think is low. I assume Roadmaster would have a specification on where/how to measure ride height similar to Freightliner.
  16. Doing a little Google research it appears there may be provincial requirements regarding braking and break away requirements. There must be some Canadian FMCA members on this forum that could answer the questions...heh?
  17. I've towed a tricked out 2005 Jeep Wrangler Sport, Auto, for probably 10,000 miles with no issues. I also have towed a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport JKU, 4 door, automatic with no issues.
  18. When I lived in a gated community on Lake Conroe, some residents there thought none of their stuff smelled so to say. One resident would bring his motorhome home to unload from their summer stay at their ranch and some of those uppity neighbors would get their panties in a wad because that stinky, loud diesel motorhome with all that shinny metal was in their drive for a day or two. It was a Prevost no less. I guess my point is, one mans home is another mans castle.
  19. Carl, I was going by his area San Antonio area code 210 also. I guess he is waiting on a text or maybe somebody texted him already.
  20. And stay out of the cooking sherry....
  21. Hey, Byron, your responding to a 2 year old post if you didn't notice.
  22. Hopefully you will come back to see this because I never text anyone I don't know. Like DD said, there are several turbo rebuilders in the San Antonio area.
  23. The Freightliner dealer in San Antonio does have hook-ups for long term stays.
