  1. We are going to Yellowstone from Mt Rushmore with 44ft DP and towed. We will be reaching Buffalo,WY on rt 90. I seen the map and I have not done any mountain driving with this RV. My options per may is to take 16 w to 14/16/20 w thru Cody, WY, then to east entrance to Yellowstone. I see from mtdirectory that I would do Powder Rver Pass and Dead Indian Pass which have some steep grade and hairpin turns. OR go north on 90 up thru MT thru Billings to Bozeman mt and pick rt 191 and enter Yellowstone at the Northgate.Taking this route appears to avoid the steep grade and hairpin turns. Any info on these two passes on rt14 or trip thru Mt would really be appreciated. going thru MT does not allow us to stop in Cody which we are told is a good place to see but I am more concerned about this rt with big rig. Thanks
  2. To "white Eagle": we are heading out that way in June 2015. No real experience on major hills so I was interested in your comment about two passes you rerouted around. Any info would be welcome we are coming from Fl. Thanks
  3. Thanks for the replies. I also posted on another site and received numerous positive replies. As suspected, it was just a salesperson trying to sell their product without any regard for the truth.
  4. Looking at my first Newmar purchase. When speaking to salesman (who does not carry Newmar) he said the following: * if it breaks you loose all steering * if unit is out of alignment the comfort drive will auto correct and you will not know it and your tires will wear out quickly *the unit has a brain circuit board and it can break * we have had a number of people trade their units in because of this issue I realize he wants to sell me his product but it did make me stop and think about it. Since I am not the mechanical/ technical type I thought I could get some help here. Your thoughts and comment will be appreciated.
  5. We are considering moving up to a larger coach(even though we dont need it!). Looking at a 2014 Dutch Star 44mt and a 2015 Thor Tuscany. Both bath and half, both 450 HP. Read a lot about great quality and customer service of the Newmar Corp but have not found much about the Tuscany. Any information on either unit would be appreciated.
